First-Time Home Buyers in East Hartford CT
They waited three months to have the finances in order to get pre-qualified by the first loan officer. After 12 weeks of waiting, we started the house hunting and found the home wherein the couple saw as the place they could live for many, many years together.
This is their first home buying experience after renting for almost twenty-years.
There were several roadblocks that all of the parties involved in the transaction were able to conquer. However, we hit an impasse when we were only two weeks away from the closing date.
Just imagine the heartbreak this bad news had caused the buyers. They were already painting a beautiful picture of what the house would look like after they move in.
In a transaction wherein an unexpected stalemate could suddenly crop up, it helps when the buyers and the sellers and their respective Realtors have a mindset of not giving up until all resources are exhausted.
I tried to refer the buyers to two other loan officers who are known for their resolution and solution mortgage prowess.
However, none of them could help the buyers. After giving them a short narrative of the situation, they said quickly that there was nothing they could do.
The listing agent, on the other hand, had a name he threw in. I heard about this loan officer’s name before.
Deep inside me was the skepticism: If the three loan officers who had been doing the mortgage business for more than 20 years could not help the buyers, why would this person be any different?
But my hunch told me that I could be wrong. And he has proven me wrong.
After talking to him for like fifteen minutes, he said that if everything I told him is correct, then he should be able to do the loan.
Suddenly, a bright ray of hope for my buyers darted through. I was exhilarated but my excitement should not overwhelm me until I see progress in the process.
And until I see this transaction consummated.
In less than a month from the time this loan officer took the application, my buyers will be homeowners tomorrow.
We owe this loan officer so much gratitude because if it weren’t for him, this transaction would have not been saved.
If it weren’t for him, my buyers’ dream of owning a home before Christmas would have not been realized.
To Jeff Daniels of Primary Residential, we greatly thank you very much. You just earned another fan in the real estate business.
